38 weeks

I may have only one more post before little miss Reagan is here! The 38th weeks has been good but, much like with McKenzie everything is getting crazy now. I have been so busy with getting things ready for school. I just want to have my kids ready and prepared not only for the exam and CRCT but also for high school and beyond. The rigor in my classroom has jumped up and I want to keep on the same pace. So I've been working on lesson plans but I'm just going to have to give up some control because all 8 weeks won't be totally planned out. I think I've done 6... good enough, right? I've also started to get really uncomfortable and iritable at school. I'm so ready for tomorrow afternoon when I'm done!

I'm getting really nervous about having Reagan. I'm nervous about handling 2 girls. I'm anxious about the C section in general. As I've said before I'm also anxious/nervous/whatever you want to call it that Reagan won't get as much attention as McKenzie did. I know its silly but I want her to feel as loved as McKenzie is by everyone. I know Jason and I will love her tremendously but its the others I think about. At the same time I worry about McKenzie not getting attention or not handling things well. Aaahhhh!!

So, on to the regular blog stuff ...

Long post, sorry

Well, here we are at almost 30 weeks. The 29th week has been an emotional roller coaster. The weekend was good, Sunday we went to Stone Mountain to see Jason's parents/ drop McKenzie off there for the week. We ended up staying the night. It was good to see the laser show and hang out but it didn't do so well for me sleeping. Monday Jason and I had a date night and tried to put the crib together but found out it was on the recall list and we are now awaiting a part to come in. Frustrating. Tuesday I think I cried more than anything else. I don't know why I cried half the time either. Pregnancy. Wednesday was summer camp, a doctor's appointment and the aquarium. My 29th week picture is from our aquarium visit. Lots of fun but I felt bad I didn't go back to Stone Mountain with McKenzie when she asked if I would. Today has been a blah day and more emotions.

At my appointment yesterday Reagan is good as usual. She's actually measuring big this time, at 31 weeks instead of 30. I think McKenzie did that as well. They also told me no more than 3 C sections. I don't know why this bothers me beacuse we've always talked about 3 kids but I don't know if I like the idea of a doctor telling me how many children I can have.

I think my emotions stem from the fact that I feel a huge difference in Reagan and McKenzie. With McKenzie she was the first and everything was new. With Reagan we're putting together the same crib we used with Kenz, same carseat etc. I want Reagan to be special too. She is to me and Jason but I want everyone else to think she's as special as we do. The girl does have some new things (like her bedding which is totally unique) but I still feel different. Maybe it is just me, maybe its because I know what we're doing this time, who knows.

On to the regular post.....

How far along? 29 weeks and 6 days (5 days in the picture)
 Total weight gain: 19 lbs

Stretch marks? No, but I think there is one forming ... I'm cocoa buttering it up like crazy

Sleep: Better this week because I can nap late afternoon because McKenzie has been away.

Best moment this week: Date night with Jason

 Miss Anything? Stamina

Movement: Reagan thinks that 10pm is a perfect time to stretch out, just when I'm ready to sleep

 Food cravings: Funnel cakes

Anything making you queasy or sick: Actually, chicken is starting to get on my nerves again

Symptoms: Impatience, feeling huge, not being able to see my feet, soreness in my hip if I bend too much during the day, stiffness if I stay in 1 position too long... the normal stuff

Wedding rings on or off? Off

Happy or Moody most of the time: Emotional - so I guess that is moody

Looking forward to: Getting into my room at school and setting up Reagan's room

Patience, Patience

So this week has been about patience for me. I am so ready for so many things and I'm having to learn to just wait and things will get done. I write this as I am waiting on the carpet people. It was supposed to be delivered between 1 and 3, its now 4. See... patience. Other things I'm having to be patient about include my house being clean and organized (even though I feel its all I've done all summer), setting up Reagan's room, anything to do with McKenzie, and just meeting Reagan in general. Next week I start doing work related things a couple of days a week and then in 3 short weeks I'll be back until Reagan gets here. Where did the time go?

On the other hand we had a great weekend at the beach last weekend. I'm waiting on my mom to send me some pictures and I'll write more about that on the family blog.

Here we go with the 28 week post

How far along? 28 weeks and 6 days (4 days in the picture)

Total weight gain: Still at 15 lbs

Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I don't know why it is suggested that you rest now because you won't be able to when the baby comes. I don't get enough rest. I sleep at night but it never feels like a good night's sleep and McKenzie wears me out during the day
Best moment this week: Being at the beach and seeing my family
Miss Anything? Sleep and the ability to do things without getting tired or sore easily, maybe seeing my feet
Movement: Reagan is a mover but she's slowed. She still lets me know she's there though

Food cravings: Nothing this week, that is odd
Anything making you queasy or sick: No

Symptoms: Impatience, feeling huge, not being able to see my feet, soreness in my hip if I bend too much during the day, stiffness if I stay in 1 position too long... the normal stuff

Wedding rings on or off? Off, it makes me sad that I've had to take them off already
Happy or Moody most of the time: A mixture of both
Looking forward to: Setting up Reagan's room, Stone Mountain with Jason's parents, Ribbon Cutting and Summer camp for my new school, a date night with Jason

The Heat is On

The 3rd trimester is here ... and so is the heat. Good thing is we're going to the beach this weekend and it will actually be cooler there than at our house. Fortunately my front yard is shaded in the mornings so McKenzie can play, but my goodness it is HOT. Add a bun in the oven and its getting to be miserable. Thankfully I don't gain a lot of weight. Also we have a kiddie pool and I choose to look like White Trash while in there with Kenz. I mean 2 piece and belly hanging out and everything.

I went for my glucose test today. Man, that stuff is yucky! At first its ok but then the sweetness gets to you and YUCK. Hopefully everything will be good so I don't have to do it again. Reagan is doing well. Heartbeat is good and she's head down now (thanks to all those hand stands I did in the pool Sunday)! Here's the weekly post:

How far along? 27 weeks and 6 days (4 days in the picture)

Total weight gain: I'm going to start from 132 from now on. In that case 15lbs ... I'm up to 147

Stretch marks? No

Sleep: Ugggh. Reagan likes to wake up at 4am and do jumping jacks or whatever so I am awake until 5:30. McKenzie likes to get up around 7. Thankfully she naps during the day.
Best moment this week: Swimming, and McKenzie being brave enough to swim by herself (and floaties)

Miss Anything? No, but probably will miss something while we're at the beach this weekend ... like a margarita or oysters

Movement: At 4am a lot but not too much throughout the day. She's bigger for sure

Food cravings: Milkshakes, chocolate chip cookies and cool whip

Anything making you queasy or sick: No

Symptoms: I am HOT but other than that nothing really. Since she turned head down my hip doesn't hurt anymore either

Wedding rings on or off? On, but I'll probably take them off after this weekend with all of this heat

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: THE BEACH!!! Also, we're getting carpet installed next week in the girls rooms and then the 4th is Wednesday!

25 and 26

Again, I have been a slacker. In all fairness it has been a busy few weeks. I went on a Civil War tour of DC, Antietam, Harper's Ferry, Manassas, Richmond, and Appomattox Court House. All for free via my amazing grant I participate in! Once I got back we moved the guest room downstairs and painted Reagan's room. We're just waiting on carpet so we can start decorating her room!

Pointing to her name while at the American History Smithsonian. 25 weeks exactly.
26 weeks and 1 day in Reagan's new pink room

How far along? Today 27 weeks, but I pan to take a picture soon so I can post on Thursday which is my next appointment

Total weight gain: 13 lbs. When I went to my last appointment last week she was a little concerned I haven't gained much weight. I think I look huge personally.

Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Its a little better. I have a pillow I sleep with but its still not the best sleep.

Best moment this week: Painting Reagan's room. It makes me feel like she's actually coming
Miss Anything? No

Movement: She's starting to slow down a little bit. I guess she's getting big. She is breach at the moment so I'm trying to get her to turn. I know it doesn't matter too much because I'm having another C section but they still want her turned.
Food cravings: Lots of random things ~ Chillis, soft pretzels, ice cream, milkshakes, avacado and cream cheese sandwiches

Anything making you queasy or sick: No

Symptoms: Clumsyness - I even scraped my knee when I was in DC because I fell, I think some sciatica because its only on my right side lower back/hip area
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Carpet and the beach!!!!
