Childbirth Class

Jason and I spent the weekend taking a lamaze/ childbirth class at the hospital we're delivereing at. It was really informative and I came out knowing a lot more than I did when I entered. I learned some breathing/ relaxation techniques that I think will be very helpful. I really like the way the pressure of a tennis ball feels and I love the birthing ball. I've been doing yoga for a couple of years now so the breathing is kind of a refresher for me. All in all Jason and I both really enjoyed the class.
At the end we got to tour the hopspital which is also really nice. The rooms are private, Jason gets to stay with me and our baby gets to stay with me the whole time too. In the labor room there is a chair and birthing ball and jacuzzi tub. The hopsital is clean and doesn't smell like a hopsital at all.
Well, that is all for now. On the way home we stopped by Target because I wanted to get a puzzle to put together so we came home with that and some Lego thing for Jason. He really is such a little boy at heart.

31 weeks

I looked cute yesterday so I decided to take a picture of myself at 31 weeks.

Evrything is still good. I've been getting a little uncomforatble though. I had to buy a new bra because my old ones were digging into my belly. Hopefully the new one will work out well. I've also been a frequent visitor to the little girls room. I think she thinks my bladder is a pillow she can layon.Today is a wednesday and at the beginning I could tell that Wednesday's are not that good for me. It went away for a few months and is back now. I think this little girl wants to be born on a Wednesday ... which is ok becuase April 1st is a Wednesday!

The Nursery

Here are some pictures of the nursery. Enjoy!

The wreath that Aunt Mandy made for the door of her room.

The view from the door.

Her changing table ... already ready to go!

I guess you would call this a mobile/ wind sock thing that Momma and I made so she can gaze at it while either being changed or fed.

Her crib ... full of stuffed animals already! Momma, Ashley and Granny did the butterfly and dragonfly.

Her closet full of clothes!!! I can't wait to put her in them!!!

Here I am at 29 weeks and 5 days.

10 weeks left

I've made it to the 30 week mark!!!! The nuresry is done and I am pretty much ready to bring home my little girl. I still need some of the bigger items like a pack and play, high chair, and most importantly a stroller. I do have a car seat so if I needed to I could bring home a baby today. Her nursery is done except for a few finishing touches.
I went to the doctor today and everything looks great. She is most certainly a girl (we got a sex check to make sure). The doc said my weight gain is great. I've gained 16 lbs from where I started out at. He did say he thought that I'd have a 8 lb baby. Ahhhhh.... that seems so big! She's about 3 - 3 1/2 lbs now so I'm sure that my weight gain will start getting more and more. The goal was to only gain 25 - 30 lbs, so hopefully I can do that.
I am having issues uploading my nursery pictures so hopefully tomorrow I can play with it and get it working.

Well here is how things are going with my little girl right now. We've moved the office downstairs, painted the nursery, put in the crib and organized the closet in our girl's room. The walls are yellow and the furniture is a walnut stain. Her room colors have red, green, black and yellow in them. I took some pictures, but I'm too lazy to get the camera to put them on here. Maybe next time.

We've also decided on a name ... but we're not going to tell anyone until she is born. I know that sounds mean but I really wanted the sex to be a suprise as well. This is the one thing that Jason can come out of the room and say "Her name is ...." and be the proud daddy. I can't wait until that day though!

I go on Wednesday for my glucose screening test. I'm not looking forward to drinking the drink, but I'm hoping all goes well.

Our girl is very active and like to kick. I was looking at my belly today and I could actually see her kick through my clothing. She's getting stronger and I love every minute of it!
