Football, Soccer, Bananas and Pretty Dresses

This past weekend was another full of 1sts for McKenzie. Saturday she attended her 1st football game - Austin Middle vs. East Paulding Middle. AMS won! Thats the school I teach at. Kenzie really liked the game ... she played and was entertained the whole time. Later we went to Jason's soccer game. He is coaching a 10-12 year old girls team. I don't know much about soccer but it was a nice day so we went. Later that night we started McKenzie with fruit ... bananas. She wasn't a huge fan but we're working on it. Sunday we went to church and I put McKenzie in a dress that I wore when I was little. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

Labor Day, 5 months, Eating and so much more

This past weekend was a busy emotional weekend. First off my parents and Ashley were in town for the long weekend. It was so much fun to get to hang out that I cried when they left. Second, McKenzie turned 5 months and started eating food this past weekend ... I cried about that too. Lastly FSU lost to Miami ... heartbreakingly. What are people trying to do to a girl?

On the 5 month note, here are McKenzie's stats. She's 17 lbs (I know, what a chunker) and 26 inches. She sits up now and loves to make noise. She's eating Carrots, Squash and Sweet Potaoes. She's not a big fan of the sweet potatoes though. Thats odd. She sleeps from about 8 to 6:45. She only gets up that early because thats when I leave to take her to the babysitter's and then I go to work. She loves being outside and playing with things that make noise. She has a "favoritre toy" doggie that sings that Papa gave her. Its really cute. I also had a Renegade that plays the War Chant that is now Kenzie's. She loves it and cries when it goes off. I knew she'd be a Seminole! When Kenzie is outside she likes to watch the cars go by.
Anyways, there are a TON of pictures that I could post but I narrrowed it down as much as possible. Enjoy!

Exersaucer and Sitting

About a month ago I got an exersaucer from the church consignment sale for only $10 and McKenzie LOVES it! She especially likes to be in it when I'm cooking. She can play while she watches me cook.

Mommy this is so much fun!

McKenzie is also trying to get better at sitting up. She can do it for about a minute on my bed. Here are some pics of my big girl!

Look Mom ... No Hands!

She's so wonderful and growing every day. She loves to put any kind of paper in her mouth. She rolls on her tummy from her back but still won't roll the other way over. She doesn't like to be on her tummy very much still but we try every day to make her like it more. I love so much how much she loves me. She smiles and cuddles and talks to me all the time. Being a Mommy is the greatest thing ever!

Oh how she loves to eat

McKenzie LOVES to eat! The mornings its all business, she trying to get to her bottle but at night .... well thats a different story! McKenzie helps me feed her by grabbing the spoon and putting it into her mouth. Well, sometimes she misses. So McKenzie is a messy eater. Usually we feed her in whatever she was wearing that day and put a bib over it but the other night we decided to let her eat only in her diaper. This was the result.

As you can see there is cereal everywhere!
Now this is what I looked like when I was little .... I think she's going to take after her Momma!

Its about time

Ok, I know its been over a month since I've posted but I've been SUPER busy. There was a trip to Cades Cove and a trip to Pensacola and lastly I started school again. So I will have tons of pictures from random places ....

McKenzie is now 4 months old! She's 14 lbs 5 oz and 24.25 inches. McKenzie eats oatmeal in the morning and rice cereal at night. Since August 8th she's slept through the night! SHe seems to change all the time! McKenzie rolls over, tries to eat her toes, and blows bubbles at us. She also "talks" more.

As promised here are pictures of my baby!

So many changes

McKenzie is getting so big and in the last week it seems like so many things have happened. She's discovered her feet. She loves to hold on to them, especially when I'm changing her diaper. She puts everything in her mouth .... stuffed animals, blankets, fingers. She now is on formula. I wanted to ween her off breastmilk slowly but she really liked the formula. So, now she's a bottle baby. Lastly she now holds herself up when she's on her tummy. Ah, she is growing up so fast!
