Again, no progress

Yet another week has gone and I've been to the doctor and again, I've made no progress. I'm 2 cm on the outside and 1 cm on the inside (I didn't know there was an outside and inside until today) and 50% effaced. Her head is in the pelvis so we're just sitting back and waiting for contractions to start basically. I'm so ready to meet my little girl and I know she's going to come out when she's ready, but patience is not my best virtue. She has a mind of her own and she's going to do what she wants (as I have discovered in the case of her being a girl and her name) so when she's ready she'll be here. Momma is here now so we're all ready for her to come. I go again to the doctor on my due date and they are supposed to call me and schedule an induction for the latest possible date I'll have the baby. When I know that I'll let you know, other than that hopefully my next post is saying we're on the way to the hopsital!

Slight Progress

This week has been an interesting one ... let me catch you up. My little Seminole moved around like crazy on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and then yesterday she calmed down. Today she's been active .... but not like earlier this week. So I of coarse start to worry. I've also had this nausea since Monday if there isn't any food in my belly. So I eat every hour or so or I feel like I'm going to throw up. This is the first sign of nausea I've had ALL pregnancy. So yesterday I was reading about signs of labor and came across water breaking. Now, I know most people do not have their water break in public but it can leak. So I was concerned I may be leaking but I didn't really "pass the tests". Well, I had a dream last night that I had the baby and my water had been broken for weeks and when she came out she had an infection. I my dream they took her to the NICU and I didn't even get to see her or hold her. So I woke up at 3 am and couldn't go back to sleep.
Thankfully, I had a doctors appointment today. Everything is fine, there is no leak of my water so my panicky dream won't come true (I told the midwife about it). I'm making some SLIGHT progress. I am 1.75 cm dilated now and my cervix is thinning some but nothing to get too excited about. She keeps dropping but she's not too low yet either. So, I should be back in a week and maybe I'll have made some more progress. The 26th is my next appointment and Momma should be coming the next day so after that I'll be SUPER ready for my baby to come.
I am finally packed to go to the hospital and I'm almost done getting everything ready at school. Our kitten Hope got fixed today so she's out of commission for about a week, which would make everything perfect if our little Seminole would wait at least one more week before she makes her big debut. Plus, more people picked days closer to my due date. I'll let you know when anything changes!

No Change

I had a doctors appointment today. It went really well ... no Group B Strep! I also got checked and I'm still the same ... 1.5cm dialated, no effacement, and at -1 station. That makes me breathe a little sigh of relief because I still have some things to get done. Maybe next week I'll have everything done and I'll make some progres. This weekend is supposed to be yucky so hopefully I'll get all my lessons written out and my bags packed so I will be just ready and waiting.

Full Term

I am 37 weeks today which means .... full term!!! Things have been going. I haven't been sleeping very much at night and then I have to work all day so I've been really crabby. I'm trying to take things one day at a time but I feel like I have so much to do before my little girl comes. Hopefully by Sunday I'll have everything for school all ready to go. I have a doctors appointment Friday at 2 so I'll update again after then. Here I am at 37 weeks and 25 lbs heavier than I was in July.

My Goodness

I am starting to get nervous about this whole delivery process. I am so ready to meet my little girl but I don't know if I'm actually ready to give birth to her. I don't have everything at school ready, I'm not packed and I don't want to have to leave her for a month or more when I go back to work. I know that God is in control and his timing is the best but I really want my timing ... which would be she'd come sometime after March 27th. Momma will be coming to stay on March 26th so after then I'd be perfectly happy if she came. I would have to go back for the last 3 weeks of school at that point too. Everyone says "You'll never make it if you're already 1.5 cm dialated." but I kind of hope I do.

Yesterday was my baby shower at church. It was super fun ... we took magazines and cut out features to "make" my baby. Hillarious!!! After the shower we went to Babies R Us and got the last major purchase we need before she gets here and that was the stroller. We tried out a couple and decided on one that wasn't on our registry. I really like the handle on it and its really easy to fold up and undo. Jason is going to put the carseat in some time this week so its ready in case we need it to be.

Getting Ready

I went to the doctor today for the first of my weekly visits. I had a couple of tests and some bloodwork done and got checked at this visit. Momma got to come this time and heard the heartbeat. I know she was super excited about that!

So I got checked and I am 1.5 cm dialated but still a thick cervix. So the process has begun! Momma asked how long they thought it'd be before I went into labor and she said there was no way to tell. So I could have the baby any time. I am not ready yet so if she could hold off for a couple of weeks I think I'll be happy. I'm only 36 weeks right now so she has to wait until the 11th to be full term.

Today we also went to the consignment sale at church. We got a bjorn, pack and play and jogging stroller. I'm super excited about those. I also have a baby shower tomorrow so I guess by then I will know what else I need to get with my girft cards and maybe by then I'll be ready for my little girl to come. We also went to Shane's baseball game today. It was so much fun. I really LOVE baseball. Jason starts playing softball Monday and I can't wait to sit out there and watch him. Momma took a cute picture of me with the peanuts resting on my tummy but I'll have to upload it later. I'll do pictures tomorrow after my babyshower.
